MyReha app, supports stroke survivors and individuals with cognitive challenges through tailored exercises, progress tracking, and therapeutic support. Brucira collaborated with Nyra Health, creating engaging, accessible illustrations for an effective recovery tool.
The challenge was to creatively redefine psychological concepts through illustrations, making them accessible and therapeutic for stroke survivors using MyReha.
The goal was to develop visuals that supported cognitive rehabilitation while maintaining a balance between playful engagement and a calm, supportive feel. These illustrations needed to enhance the gameplay experience, ensuring it felt welcoming, inclusive, and effective for individuals at different stages of recovery.
To support MyReha’s cognitive rehabilitation goals, we developed thoughtfully designed illustrations that strike a balance between engagement and emotional comfort. Our approach ensured that visuals were therapeutic, accessible, and easy to understand, helping users navigate their recovery journey with confidence.
By incorporating a welcoming and visually supportive design, we created an experience that is both interactive and reassuring, making complex psychological concepts more approachable for individuals at different stages of recovery.

We began with extensive research, collaborating with neuro-rehabilitation specialists and reviewing insights from stroke recovery patients. Our goal was to understand what visuals would best support cognitive and motor rehabilitation.
This research guided our design principles, from color choices to icon simplicity, all aimed at enhancing focus, relaxation, and engagement during gameplay.

We reimagined how visuals could serve as a bridge between cognitive therapy and entertainment, creating designs that feel approachable and uplifting while meeting clinical needs.
Every detail, from character design to color palette, was thoughtfully crafted to provide patients with a sense of calm, focus, and empowerment. The goal was to make the game intuitive, enjoyable, and seamlessly integrated into the recovery process.

Our visual language was crafted to be uplifting yet understated. We used friendly characters, soft shapes, and minimalistic backgrounds to foster a sense of progress without distraction.
Each illustration serves a dual purpose: to engage patients in the game while subtly reinforcing their connection to the recovery process.

In this game, each coloured nature house is paired with a car that needs to reach its designated destination. By clicking on the highlighted buttons, players can change the routes and guide the cars to their correct endpoints —challenging a users focus, coordination, and divided attention skills.

The Car Wash Game is a memory challenge where dirty cars enter and numbered cars exit. Payers need to remember the numbers and arrange them in the correct sequence to successfully clear each level.

This is a timed arithmetic game where players solve math problems written on balloons. Correct answers cause the balloons to pop, preventing the house from floating away and helping it return to its spot.

At the start of the game, a reference image is shown. Players must then recreate the building arrangement from memory, making it a visual recall exercise. The calm, soothing illustrations support focus and aid in the recovery phase.

This is a spatial awareness game where boxes fall from the top, and players must count them in real time. Once all boxes have fallen, the player enters the final total to complete the challenge.

Pairs of plant needs will be provided, and the player must correctly match each plant with its corresponding requirement. This game helps reinforce knowledge and memory through simple and engaging associations.

Our animators and illustrators collaborated closely to design illustrations optimized for seamless animation.
These assets were carefully animated and converted into Lottie files, ensuring lightweight and efficient motion graphics. The Lottie files were then integrated into Unity by the game development team, creating a cohesive and interactive experience tailored for the games.
The game illustrations have received positive feedback, with patients reporting a sense of comfort and encouragement while using the app. The approachable visuals contribute to increased engagement, helping patients feel more at ease and motivated as they progress through their recovery.
Our work has helped MyReha deliver a unique therapeutic experience that combines fun and serious recovery support, making a tangible difference in patients’ lives by enhancing both their motivation and experience within the app.
